You can request permanent deletion of your ScratchSplit account either in the mobile app or by email. Account deletion is irreversible and is different from temporarily deactivating your account.

Delete your account in the app

  1. Sign in to ScratchSplit.
  2. Open your Purr-file.
  3. Open the account controls and choose Delete account permanently.
  4. Review the consequences and complete the confirmation shown in the app.

Request deletion without the app

Email scratch-split-support@purrzzatto.com from the email address connected to your ScratchSplit account. Use the subject ScratchSplit account deletion request and state that you want your account permanently deleted.

We may ask you to verify that you control the account before processing the request. Do not send your password, authentication code, payment information, or identity documents.

If you are the only owner of a group

A group must retain an active owner so its other members are not locked out. Before deleting your account, promote another active group member to owner. If you cannot access the app, email support using the steps above and we will help resolve group ownership as part of your deletion request.

What is deleted

Permanent account deletion removes your sign-in account, email address, profile picture, push-notification tokens and preferences, personal notification data, and active group memberships. You will no longer be able to sign in or regain access to the deleted account.

What may be retained

Shared expense, settlement, and audit records may be retained so other group members can understand their shared financial history and balances. Those records are disconnected from your sign-in account and shown under an anonymized Deleted user profile with no email address, authentication link, or profile picture. We may also retain limited records when required for security, fraud prevention, legal obligations, or dispute resolution.
